In short

  • Our content is for general information only.
  • Our picks are based on research, not hands-on testing.
  • We are not mechanics, electricians, lawyers or financial advisors.
  • Always confirm fit and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
  • We earn commissions from some links, at no extra cost to you.

For information only

Everything on Fair Way Volt, including guides, rankings, comparisons, charts and tips, is for general information and education. It is not professional advice, and it does not create any professional or client relationship between you and us.

Research based, not hands-on testing

Fair Way Volt does not run a test track, lab or repair shop. Our product picks and buying advice are based on research from:

  • Manufacturer specifications, manuals, wiring diagrams and fitment charts
  • Published documentation from brands and retailers
  • Verified buyer reviews and common owner feedback

When we describe how a product performs, we are summing up what these sources report. We do not claim to have used, installed or tested the product ourselves.

Not professional advice

  • Electrical and mechanical work: our guides do not replace a qualified golf cart technician or the instructions from your cart’s maker.
  • Legal questions: street legal rules, low speed vehicle laws and registration needs vary by state, county and town. Check with your local DMV or city office.
  • Money decisions: prices, lease terms and resale values in our guides are general ranges. Get real quotes before you commit.

Golf cart safety warnings

Read before you work on your cart: high-voltage battery packs can deliver very high current. A dropped wrench across terminals can cause sparks, severe burns or fire.

  • Put the cart in tow or maintenance mode and disconnect the main negative cable before working on batteries, motors or controllers, as your owner’s manual directs.
  • Lead acid batteries release hydrogen gas while charging and contain sulfuric acid. Charge in a well ventilated area, keep flames and sparks away, and wear gloves and eye protection.
  • Lithium batteries must be charged with a charger built for their chemistry and voltage. Follow the battery maker’s instructions exactly.
  • Use ramps, jacks and stands rated above your cart’s full weight. Never work under a cart held up only by a jack.
  • Speed, motor, controller and lift upgrades change how a cart brakes and handles, and may void your warranty.
  • Street legal kits do not automatically make a cart legal on public roads. Local law decides.

Fitment and compatibility

Fit notes on Fair Way Volt are based on the best information available when we wrote them. Makers change part numbers and designs without notice. Always confirm your cart’s model, year, voltage and part numbers, and check the seller’s compatibility notes, before you buy.
