Affiliate Disclosure

Fair Way Volt is free to read. Here is exactly how we earn money, and how we keep that from shaping our advice.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

In short

  • As an Amazon Associate, Fair Way Volt earns from qualifying purchases.
  • Buying through our links never costs you extra.
  • Commissions never decide which products make a list or how they rank.
  • We follow the FTC’s rules on clear affiliate disclosure.

The short version

As an Amazon Associate, Fair Way Volt earns from qualifying purchases. Fair Way Volt is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

How affiliate links work

When you click a product link on Fair Way Volt and then buy on Amazon, Amazon may pay us a small percentage of the sale. Amazon tracks this with a cookie on its own site. In most cases, the purchase must happen within a short window after your click, typically 24 hours, for us to earn a commission.

Commissions can come from the product you clicked or from other items you buy in the same visit.

What it costs you

Nothing extra. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly. The commission comes out of Amazon’s share, not your pocket.

How to spot affiliate links

Affiliate links on our site usually appear as:

  • Buttons such as “View Latest Price” or “Check Price on Amazon”
  • Product names and product images in our comparison tables and pick boxes
  • Text links to specific products inside our rankings

Our affiliate links are marked with the rel=”sponsored” tag, which tells search engines they are paid links.

Our editorial promise

  • Brands cannot pay to be included in a ranking or to rank higher.
  • We include drawbacks, fit warnings and low ratings, even when they make a product less likely to sell.
  • Our picks come from research on manufacturer specs, documentation and verified owner reviews. We do not claim hands-on testing.
  • If a cheaper or non-affiliate option is the better fit for your cart, we will say so.

Prices and availability

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date and time they were checked and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of the product.

Other affiliate programs

Amazon Associates is our primary affiliate program. We may join other affiliate programs in the future. If we do, the same rules on this page apply to every one of them.

FTC compliance

This disclosure follows the US Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We place short disclosures near affiliate links and keep this full page linked across the site.
